Pendant with a rock crystal radiating blood-red limonite inclusions from its core (Brandberg Massif, Namibia). Seated on the crystal is a Maya-inspired diamond- and ruby-set structure of blackened white gold that ends in a crocodile head. The crocodile’s scales of partially oxidized yellow gold are accentuated with black vitreous enamel, with teeth of white gold, and rock crystal eyes underlaid with green enamel. The suspension loop is the crocodile’s prey, a gold-painted bird of blackened white gold.
