Earrings with nature casts of the shell of a sea snail Tenagodus obtusus that is endemic to the Mediterranean and north-western Atlantic. Typical for the species is the spirally coiled shell with separated whorls and an opening along its longitudinal axis. This shape is the result of the natural lifestyle in a fixed position within a sponge, sessile salt-water animal that slowly grows in unpredictable directions. To keep its access to the outside of the sponge, the Tenagodus adapts the growth of its shell to that of the host sponge. The nature casts are covered with white vitreous enamel and painted gold ornaments. The suspension element is a diamond-set Cardan joint.

Myths of colossal sea monsters, prevalent across various cultures, attacking ships and dragging them into the depths with their arms, inspired this pendant. It depicts a cobalt blue enameled octopus clutching its prey, an amethyst scepter (crystal formed from two fused amethysts, their combined shape resembling that of a scepter). Reflecting the real-life characteristic of all members of the Octopodidae family, which lack a skeleton and thus possess extreme flexibility, the golden body of the octopus closely conforms to the shape of the crystal, gripping it tightly with its tentacles. On the underside of the tentacles are engraved suckers, and one of the tentacles forms the suspension loop.
