Amulet with an animistic guardian—a gargoyle—watching over a nature-cast baobab-shaped thorn of Monadenium spectabile, a rare succulent plant endemic to Tanzania. With its diamond-set and gold-painted collar, the gargoyle becomes the chapiter of the rock crystal column housing the thorn and the diamond studded meander upon which it stands. The column base is an entwined knot of tree branches. One of a kind.

Ring with a cornflower blue star sapphire in a bezel built from bent bamboo stems of yellow gold. The hoop is a thick bent bamboo stem with capitals of bamboo leaves. One of a kind.

Pendant with a phantom amethyst that developed inside a sceptre quartz (a quartz crystal on which a second, younger crystal formed in the direction of the main axis and thus created the eponymous sceptre shape). The fine lines visible in the lower part of the crystal are ingrown rutile crystals. The shaft of the sceptre is concealed within a structure inspired by South American temple architecture, that is made of enamelled and gold-painted plates and ends with a toucan head. The toucan‘s plumage is of partially oxidized yellow and white gold, and his eyes are cut from rock crystal and underlaid with cobalt blue enameled fine silver lenses. With its open beak, in which a green enameled tongue is visible, the toucan grasps a purple enameled earthworm, which serves as a suspension loop.

Amulet made of antique hollow crocodile tooth. The tooth received a yellow gold cap for its tip and fine gold framed windows that allow to see the nerve of 22K yellow gold with ruby-set bubbles of white gold. The tooth leads to a temple-like structure of blackened white gold pillars that are embellished with fine gold immersions, blossoms enameled white and black, and painted gold.

Ring with a mauve Burma spinel. The bezel is composed of four intercrossing curved columns and covered with black, red and green enameled ornaments.

Ring that winds itself around the finger like a snake, whose head is a teardrop-shaped antique diamond. The ring was equally inspired by the supporting steel frame structures of the 19th century and the archaic wood engravings from the South Pacific. The open end of the white gold ring hoop opens into two fluted columns from which thick yellow gold tendrils grow to close the ring by penetrating the open lattice of the ring head.

Old mine diamond in a bezel composed of four intercrossing curved columns. Both the bezel and the ring hoop are embellished with spherical ornaments and black vitreous enamel.

Ring with a blue-green tourmaline. Four mighty arched stoles of white and yellow gold form the bezel. The unadorned ring rail of darkly oxidized white gold opens towards the ring head, ending in four capitals that support the bezel.

Ring with a sapphire in a minimalist setting that leads to a pair of abstractly depicted palm fronds. Accentuated with painted gold, the palm fronds form the ring hoop in blackened white gold. On the inside, the ring is lined with a sleeve made of 22 K gold, which casts a golden reflection upon the stone.
