Ring inspired by biomechanical aesthetics, evoking the imagery of bones and intricate 3D-printed mathematical models. The reverse of the ring features ornaments inspired by the traditional Maori wood carvings. Completely hand-carved in wax, the ring was cast in yellow gold using the lost wax technique. The technically flawless casting resulted in a perfect casting crust that has been preserved as the surface of the ring. The ring is set with a historical Asscher-cut diamond, which was cut around 1920.
